Care, Fees & Funding
Our Care
Our aim at Hedges House is not only to meet but exceed the section 20 regulations of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
First class personal care is provided by dedicated and caring staff 24 hours a day under the guidance of our professional and efficient management team. Our key worker system ensures that individual needs, such as assisted bathing, are always met.
Prior to admission, a full assessment is conducted by the manager, either at the resident’s own home or in hospital. Thereafter, medication reviews and weight checks are routinely carried out and care plans regularly reviewed, in conjunction with the relevant Social Services and medical practitioners, to identify and meet the changing needs of each resident. Should family members be unavailable, Hedges House staff will escort residents for GP and hospital visits.
Family Support
The prospect of going into care is extremely daunting for elderly people and is a sensitive time for their families.
Hedges House management and staff are committed to offering friendship and support to all concerned whether they have made their decision to take this important step, or are simply considering their options. Help is always at hand and prospective residents are invited to make an appointment to visit, without obligation, to assess all aspects of care whether in general or specifically to Hedges House.
Fees
Payable at the beginning of the month by standing order, fees vary depending on the size and location of rooms, and are reviewed annually.
Funding
